Hey folks!
After a couple of months of pretty hard work, we're pleased to present igsig.org, the official website of the Immersive Gaming Special Interest Group. Here you'll find resources to help the IG community achieve the very realistic goal of making immersive gaming the status quo of interactive entertainment.
So, please feel free to explore the site. While we're still getting content online, most of the activity will be going on in the discussion forums (just click "Discuss" above). Soon, we'll have articles on various aspects of immersive gaming online. If you're interested in contributing content for our site, feel free to e-mail me at antiphon@igsig.org.
Although we've made all reasonable efforts to make our software high-quality, it's bound to have bugs and feature-limitations that become obvious fairly soon. We'll be working hard to correct these and appreciate your patience. Some of the things you may notice include the inability to quote posts in the forums. Also, not all aspects of our IGCODE formatting system are implemented, so hyperlinks and images in posts and articles will not work.
If you should happen to uncover crucial bugs, please be gentle and don't wreck the site. Instead, e-mail your bug reports to antiphon@igsig.org. We really appreciate it and look forward to serving the community.
Thanks for visiting!

Immersive Gaming Special Interest Group
We are an organization expressly for the purpose of creating dialogue and facilitating technology to make immersive gaming a reality as soon as possible.
Immersive Gaming, as we've interpreted it, is the placement of the player into the game, the elimination of the avatar. It is the use of pre-existing physiological structures to manipulate virtual objects and to provide feedback to the body and mind of the player in the most immersive gaming and simulation experience to-date. It is, in the deepest sense possible, an alternate reality.
